Some kind words from our clients…

“The Year 8 cooking incursion with Luca and his team was a fantastic event which will definitely be repeated next year. Luca has the set-up and delivery of this engaging workshop down to a fine art. The boys absolutely loved it and enjoyed both the language elements and hands-on cooking. The resources for classroom teachers to use were also very useful and engaging. The crêpes, dumplings and Spätzle were just delicious – and there was plenty of food for all!”

“Luca held cooking classes for our Immersion Day with our Year 7 and 8 Italian students. The class was engaging and the students had an opportunity to practice their Italian whilst making pasta. Luca and his team are professional, organised and communicate clearly. The cooking lessons ran on time and the students thoroughly enjoyed them.”

“What an amazing day! Our students loved it! A fantastic language incursion for students studying French & Japanese! Luca was an incredibly professional & entertaining chef and our students really enjoyed the experience of making Japanese & French food from scratch with aprons, chefs hats and changing roles. They had so much fun, found the meals were consistently delicious and Luca’s manner was kind & generous with our students. Thank you for bringing them joy in continuing languages!”

“What a fantastic experience to immerse students in language and culture! From the first communication to the last, the professionalism of Luca and the team is exceptional. Luca’s passion is infectious and his ability to inspire students is outstanding. Our students continue to rave about their cooking and language immersion. Many students have now tested their newly acquired skills by cooking the dishes they learnt for their parents. Students keep asking “When can we do that again?””

“The cooking incursion was very educational and showed me a few helpful techniques while including a very unique and tasty recipe. I learnt a new style of dumpling cooking completely different in taste and texture from the dumplings I’m used to at home, and I’m happy to say it was worth the effort!”

“I had a truly exceptional experience learning how to stuff and wrap dumplings from a skilled chef. It was a fun and distinctive way to discover Chinese culture by preparing its food and familiarising myself with the ingredients’ names. Making dumplings has enabled me to establish a stronger connection with my heritage.”

“The students had a fantastic day cooking and eating Crepes and really benefited from your culinary expertise and knowledge. The whole day ran very smoothly and was extremely well organised. It was wonderful to see the students follow your instructions in the target language of French and it was excellent to see you include differentiation for the Year 11 students – a shopping role play to buy all the necessary ingredients. We look forward to inviting you back next year.”

“I enjoyed this experience as it was fun and I enjoyed making crepes with Luca. I liked that he taught us French and incorporated French into the experience. The crepes were so good and I had so much fun making them, everything was parfait!”

“Our Year 8 students had a fantastic day preparing risotto with Luca. The day was extremely well-organised and ran very smoothly with four groups back to back! All of the students were able to get involved in the process and learn not only how to prepare the dish, but a bit of the history of the dish as well. The students also learned new Italian vocabulary which they were able to use throughout the session, so it was great for them to apply their language skills in this setting. We also really appreciated the fact that Luca made an effort to get all students involved, especially those with learning difficulties, to make sure they all had a role to play. Grazie mille, Luca!”

“We have a longstanding relationship with School Cooking Incursion. Luca and his team are professional, friendly and organised. They provide a high quality language incursion experience that students love. Our College enjoys cooking both French and Japanese recipes every year and students get to engage with the target language whilst learning about the cuisine. Highly recommended for language learning students.”

“Year 8 students greatly enjoyed the visit to the college by professional chef Luca Roncari and his team. Luca taught students to cook French crèpes and Italian risotto, as well as commenting on aspects of French or Italian culture. Students learned the safe movement and gestures expected in a professional kitchen and afterward enjoyed the delicious dishes they had prepared. This combination of practical skills and cultural immersion made for the ‘perfect’ incursion.”

“We had the joy of welcoming Luca and his team to prepare crepes for Yr9 French and tortillas for Yr8 Spanish. We could not have imagined a better way to finish the school year for our Language students. The students loved the experience, were thrilled that they were able to make something so tasty so easily, and that they could then reproduce this over the holidays with their families. We will certainly be asking Luca back next year. Thank you Luca for engaging our students in such an enjoyable activity.”

“The cooking incursion was a very fun and exciting activity to participate in; the food was very lovely and yummy; staff were kind and professional and seemed to know what they were doing. They made us mix the filling for the dumpling and gave us step-by-step instructions on how to make them at home. The recipe was nice and easy and the result turned out fantastic; there were at least 10 dumplings for everyone so you don’t go out hungry! They gave us aprons and chef hats which boosted the atmosphere significantly, I can confidently say that I am now a dumpling making professional and will use this recipe at home when I am hungry. I would recommend this group to anyone who is interested in teaching others about some cultural food, a definite 5-star experience for me!”

“The cooking class was so fun and utterly awesome. I loved learning how to make crepes and will be using the recipe regularly at home! Thanks for giving us such a fun and exciting cooking lesson. I enjoyed eating our crepes and serving my friends at the end, as well as flipping the crepes all by myself. Thanks so much for your helpful tips and engaging lesson.”

“I was very impressed with Luca’s organisational skills and how effectively he managed and communicated with a large group of students. The students thoroughly enjoyed learning how to cook and eating a tortilla de patatas while learning relevant Spanish vocabulary and traditional cuisine. It was an incredible experience, where the students were actively involved in the whole cooking process. I highly recommend Piatto Perfetto for a unique cooking and language integrated incursion.”
